Hello Sailfish!

We hope everyone had a GREAT spring break. That means it’s only 50 days until we start swim team practices on May 15. Yahoo!!!! 

We have a couple of announcements and reminders for you today:

2023 Coaches

Over the past two months, your Parent Representatives interviewed and selected our paid coaching staff for the year. This year, we made the decision to tighten up our coaching staff numbers - down from 8.5 paid coaches to 6.0 paid coaches. That’s a much better size for the number of swimmers we have on our team. We are extremely pleased with the team we have assembled. All have accepted their positions. With no further ado, here are our 2023 coaches:

Avery Hall, Head Coach

Ellie Ross, Assistant Head Coach

Pierre Wirth, Coach

Sophia Messersmith, Coach

Emme Penry, Coach

Madison Saldanha, Coach

Over the coming weeks, we will be working with Avery, our Head Coach, to assign each of these coaches as a “lead” coach for an age group and an “assistant” to another age group. We will be also interviewing and selecting a volunteer coach to work with each age group. We will also be adding more information about our coaching staff to our website, so stay tuned for more…

Open House

Our annual Open House will be next Sunday, April 2, from 11 am to 1 pm in the Sailfish Room. Please come and get fitted for a swimsuit and meet your Sailfish Board. You’ll also get a chance to score some deals on merchandise from years past and scope out the new items your swimmers will want for this season. Please join us!

Registration and Volunteer Sign-Up

Thanks to all who have already registered for this season. If you have not yet registered, please do so soon. Our volunteer sign-up opens at 12:00 noon on Sunday, April 16. Your swimmers must be signed up for the season BEFORE you can sign up for your volunteer shifts.
