    • The first race will start promptly at 8:00 am.

    SEVEN YEAR AWARDS

We are so proud of our community of swimmers and during the End of Year Banquet, we would like to acknowledge our swimmers who have been with us for seven years. Please add your swimmer's name to this Google Sheet. If you have any questions, please contact Lydia-Ann Champeau, our Clerk of Course. We count all 7 years of swimming (even Mudskippers) and also during those "funny" summers with COVID. Looking forward to celebrating this amazing achievement with you!

    HAVE YOU SEEN MY GOGGLES?

Swimmers- make sure you have your goggles ready for each meet! This year we will be selling a small supply of goggles for emergencies, but due to price increases they will be more expensive than in years past. We would recommend that you order goggles ahead of time through our link on the website, MI Sports in person, Amazon, or any other swim store!

    EVENING PRACTICE SIGN UP

Our evening practices begin this Wednesday, May 31. You can sign up for all evening practices here. A couple of notes:

    • Please submit one form per swimmer.
    • Please sign up for only the evening practices you plan to attend.
    • No Mudskipper evening practices.
    • 7:00 - 8:00 pm will include 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-18.
    • You will receive a confirmation email after you complete the form. Please save this email and use the link provided to change your sign-up if needed.
    • To start, we will only have 30 swimmers for each time slot. Anyone who signs up after number 30, will be on a waitlist. We will send you an email to let you know this is the case.
    • Thank you for your patience as we try out this new process. We will make adjustments if we hear from you that adjustments are needed.

TEAM EMAILS FOR 11-18 YEAR OLDS

Would you like your 11-18 year old swimmer to receive team emails? Several of you have requested, and we are happy to oblige. This could be particularly useful if you have an older kid who needs to know when practices are cancelled for weather, etc. Please complete this form, and we will add your swimmer’s email to our lists.

    SUPER SWIMMER RECOGNITION

Don't forget to let us know about any Super Swimmers! We have already had some swimmers nominated, and we know there are more out there!

Here are the Super Swimmer details again.

We want to be able to recognize when a swimmer does something that made them a "Super Swimmer." It is a way to recognize individual goals and accomplishments of a swimmer, and we understand that we have a wide range of swimmer skills and swimmer goals. This is something the swimmer is working on or means something to the swimmer. This is for mudskippers too!!!

Some examples of being a "Super Swimmer"

    1. Beating a time
    2. Overcoming a fear and racing in a race
    3. Swimming in an event they have never done before or swimming a stroke they have never done before
    4. Doing a relay for the first time
    5. Swimming without a coach in the water
    6. Swimming a race without DQing
    7. Being brave when heating
    8. Getting in the water or putting face in the water
    9. Breaking a record
    10. Any type of challenge or goal that the swimmer is working on.

When your swimmer has an accomplishment that they want recognized, please email Natalie Messersmith about the accomplishment and other pertinent information. Please submit by Sunday of each week, and the swimmer will receive something small in their folders (that hold the ribbons) later in the week.

    A COUPLE TEAM SUITS AVAILABLE

One of our Sailfish parents ordered brand new team suits that are too small and is selling them at a big discount: 1 female suit, size 24 @ $20 and 2 male jammer style, size 22 @ $20. Please text Lesleigh if you are interested in purchasing them (303) 522-3222.

    SAILFISH LOST & FOUND

We have created a label "SAILFISH MEET LOST & FOUND" bin which will live on the bottom shelf of the Sundance pool lost and found shelf. If you pick up a stranded item at an away meet, please place it in our bin at the pool. If you loose something at a meet, please check out bin. If you loose OR find something of high value, please email the parent reps so that we can reunite the item with the owner. P.S. prescription glasses were found at the meet this weekend - let us know if they belong to you.

That’s all there is for this edition of the Sailfish SCOOP! See you all at the pool this week!

Life is better when you are swimming!
