HELLO SAILFISH FAMILY!!!

Happy Prelims and Finals week to all of you! Our 13-18 swimmers and 8 & under swimmers have had some AMAZING swims at their prelims yesterday and today. Way to go!!! Our 9-10 and 11-12 swimmers swim tomorrow and Thursday - we are 100 percent certain they will do equally well. 

It looks like these last few days of the season are going to be really hot! So be sure to  bring your sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses to our final events of the season; keep yourself hydrated, and learn from the master (below). 

And now, here’s your SCOOP for this evening…

MOHAWKS & ROOT BEER FLOATS

Close out the end of prelims week & celebrate our athletes who made it to the championship meet by joining us at Sundance Pool on Friday at 4:00 pm. This celebration is a long standing team tradition. ALL swimmers and families, regardless of whether you swam in prelims or are swimming in finals, are welcome to enjoy root beer floats. Traditionally, many swimmers voluntarily get mohawks or color their hair in temporary team colors….this is, thankfully, not required.

Meet us at the pavilion for an hour of crazy fun! We'll supply the clippers and some yellow and blue hair chalk and will have markers on hand for car decorating. We want the RMSL teams to know Sundance is in the parking lot on Saturday!

We’ll be placing them next to the ribbon box at the front desk of the pool. Stop by and pick yours up! (All swimmers receive a team photo and an individual photo, paid for as part of your registration. You’ll also have the opportunity to order extras if you wish.)

It’s at the front desk of the pool. Please check to see if your swimmers have any ribbons in the box from our meets, and take them with you if they do!

END-OF SEASON COACHES GIFTS

At the end of each season, we collect cash gifts for our coaches. We’ll distribute them at our end-of-season banquet. If you would like to contribute, you can contribute on our website. (Go to the website, log in, and choose “Online Store.” You will see the Coaches’ Gifts available there. Please note that you can select more than one denomination and more than one of any listed denomination to add up to the total amount you want to contribute.) These gifts, though totally optional, are greatly appreciated by our hard-working coaches and volunteer coaches. DEADLINE if NOON this Friday, July 12.

SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS FOR THE END-OF-SEASON VIDEO

Did you capture amazing photos of your swimmer and their Sailfish friends this season? Submit them for potential inclusion in the end of season video that will be shared at the banquet!

Please keep in mind horizontal images are preferred to fit within the movie screen. We will try to include as many photos as possible along with all the video footage we’ve been capturing throughout the season.

KEEP SUPPORTING BAGS OF FUN

Bags of Fun hosts an annual fund raiser, Bring Out the Bags, each year. This event is a spectacular event for the entire family and will be held in Denver on October 5. Several Sailfish families who have attended in the past have said the event is truly a great evening!!! Bags of Fun has early-bird pricing and family packages available, so GO CHECK IT OUT. Have a little fun and raise some money for a very worthy cause!
