Hi Mudskipper Families,

The Mudskippers had such a great first full week of practice—we are so proud of them! It’s been a joy to see their confidence grow and their smiles at the pool.

We also wanted to let you know that the Mudskipper Meet originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 2nd has been rescheduled to Friday, July 11th from 4:00–5:00 PM. The meet will now take place during the already planned Root Beer Floats + Mohawks Swim Team Party.

We understand this new date may not work for everyone. If your kiddo won’t be able to attend, please just let us know—we’ll make sure they still have a chance to show off their swimming skills during one of the practices beforehand. They’ll still receive their end-of-season prize and a treat, no matter what!

In past years, we’ve wrapped up the Mudskipper season before the swim team prelims and finals. But this year, we have an opportunity to give our youngest swimmers a few extra times in the water by shifting the meet a bit later.

This change also allows for:

• More Coaches to be there supporting the Mudskippers — the original date fell right before the July 4th holiday when some coaches were out of town, but the Root Beer Floats + Mohawks party is the week of prelims and the day before finals, so more coaches will be in town and already at the pool.
• The entire swim team to be there to cheer them on!
• A fun way to wrap up with root beer floats and celebration right after they swim!

Please plan to arrive by 3:50 PM on July 11th so we can get everyone set up before the mudskipper meet begins. We’ll share more details as we get closer, but wanted to get the updated date on your calendars as soon as possible.
