HELLO SAILFISH FAMILY!!!

Happy Wednesday to all! We’re half way through the week and only a few days away from our tri-meet this Saturday against Homestead Farm and Homestead Farm II. The Tarpons and Barracudas better be ready for some Sailfish speed. 😎

Let’s get to tonight’s SCOOP…

TIME CHANGE:

THURSDAY, JUNE 12 STROKE CLINIC

We are adjusting the time of tomorrow’s stroke clinic due to a timing conflict with the Big Kids’ trip to IHOP. The clinic will be taking place from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Thank you for being flexible!

🚨Cost for stroke clinics is $5, payable directly to the coach running the clinic BEFORE the start of the stroke clinic. Our coaches will accept your cash or payment through Venmo. (We had 6 swimmers who did not pay for yesterday’s stroke clinic. Please pay the appropriate coach if this is you. Thanks! 🚨

HOME MEET THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 14

As I stated in Sunday’s SCOOP, please expect this meet to last a bit longer than usual because it’s a tri-meet. Bring your knitting, a book (I need a good beach read!), your patience, and extra sunscreen!

Here are a few reminders to get you through the day:

As usual, Coach Lyndsay will send out heat sheets and other announcements in an email on Friday. Expected race times on the heat sheets are only estimates. Our Sailfish squad tends to move pretty quickly and we generally get through the schedule well in advance of these times.
The first race starts at 8 am sharp. Warm up is likely to be a bit earlier than last week because three teams need to warm up.
Bring your reusable water bottle. Concessions will not be selling plastic bottles of water. We will have a jug of water at the concessions stand with disposable cups available upon request. PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE – it’s going to be hot, and swimmers and spectators need to stay hydrated. LaCroix, Gatorade, lemonade and other offerings are available for purchase

BIG FISH / LITTLE FISH CHALLENGE

Big shoutout to our Big Fish and Little Fish pairs who are doing an amazing job building a positive, supportive team atmosphere this summer! Your kindness and encouragement are making a big difference—keep it up!

This week’s challenge: Learn something new about your Big Fish or Little Fish! The first team to EMAIL CAROLYN both of your answers will win a prize!
