HELLO SAILFISH FAMILY!!!

Coming at you tonight from Swimming Under the Stars. Thanks to all who worked to make this a great event and to Mother Nature for giving us the perfect weather.

I’ve got a SCOOP for you tonight - so let’s get on with it!

BIG MEET THIS SATURDAY!!!

In the annals of competitive sports, there are those rivalries that stand above all others: Ohio State & Michigan (GO BUCKS!!!); Oklahoma University & Texas; UCLA & USC; and, of course, the Sundance Sailfish and the CCV Vikings!!! 

That’s right, we swim against our closest neighbors and biggest rivals this coming Saturday at our Sundance Hills Pool. Let’s all show up and cheer our team onto a solid performance and a WIN! Here are a couple pointers to get you through the day:

• As usual, Coach Lyndsay will send out heat sheets and other announcements in an email on Friday. Expected race times on the heat sheets are only estimates. Our Sailfish squad tends to move pretty quickly and we generally get through the schedule well in advance of these times.
• The first race starts at 8 am sharp. Warm up times will come in Friday’s email.
• Bring your reusable water bottle. Concessions will not be selling plastic bottles of water. We will have a jug of water at the concessions stand with disposable cups available upon request. PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE – it’s going to be hot, and swimmers and spectators need to stay hydrated. LaCroix, Gatorade, lemonade and other offerings are available for purchase

BIG FISH / LITTLE FISH NEWSLETTER

We’ve absolutely loved seeing the way our Big Fish and Little Fish have supported each other—it’s been truly heartwarming, and we couldn’t be prouder!

This week’s challenge is simple (but meaningful): stop by the Spirit Table on Friday—before, during, or after practice—to make a handmade card for your Big Fish or Little Fish. Or, if you prefer, make one at home and surprise them with it before or during this week’s meet! 

Let’s keep spreading the Sailfish spirit with small acts of kindness!

SEVEN YEAR AWARD WINNERS

At our end-of-season banquet each year we recognize swimmers who have been on the team for 7 years. If this year is your child’s seventh year as a Sailfish, please let our Clerk of Course, Rachel Langley, know by Friday, June 27th. You can text Rachel at 303-854-8280.

Rachel will need the following information:

First and last name of swimmer Swimmer birth year Parent first and last name We count all 7 years of swimming (even Mudskippers) and also during those "funny" summers with COVID.
