HELLO SAILFISH FAMILY!!!

I hope that everyone had a great Independence Day 🇺🇸 and weekend! 🎇 We’ve got a BIG week ahead with Prelim meets this Monday through Thursday, Mudskipper meet and Root Beer Floats and Mohawks on Friday, and Finals and our season-closing banquet on Saturday.

It’ll be a whirlwind, for sure. We’ve had a great season thus far — let’s be sure that our we put forth our best effort and show the rest of RMSL that Sundance Hills is a community that takes pride in all we do.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE CHANGES

Because of Prelim meets this week, we have some changes to our practice schedule. Please take note:

Monday, July 7:
- 13-18 prelims at Stonegate; no practice at SH for 13-18.
- Practice for ages 6 & under and 7-8: 9:00 am - 9:45 am.
- Practice for ages 9-10 and 11-12: 9:45 am - 10:30 am.
- No Mudskippers.
Tuesday, July 8:
- 8 & under prelims at Homestead; no practice at SH for 8 & under.
- No Mudskippers.
- All other practices at normal times.
Wednesday, July 9:
- 9-10 prelims at Heritage Greens; no practice at SH for 9-10.
- All other practices at normal times, including Mudskippers.
Thursday, July 10:
- 11-12 prelims at Homestead Farms II; no practice at SH for 11-12.
- All other practices at normal times, including Mudskippers.
Friday, July 11:
- No Mudskipper practice. (You have the Mudskipper meet at 4:00 pm this day.)
- All other practices at normal times.
- Mohawks and Root Beer Floats at 4:00 pm!

👙🩳 Speaking of which... the pool is OPEN! Bring your suits, floaties, goggles, and cannonball skills. Lifeguards will be on deck and even the Baby Pool is ready for action.

LAST CHANCE FOR SUPER SWIMMER NOMINATIONS

It’s our LAST weekly reminder to nominate a Super Swimmer! Help us recognize any of our amazing swimmers—including our Mudskippers—who’ve reached a meaningful milestone this week, big or small. Whether it’s a personal best, a moment of resilience, or a great attitude, we want to celebrate it! Each nominee will receive a certificate and a fun treat in the ribbon box—so don’t miss the chance to give one of our amazing swimmers a well-deserved shoutout! Send Carolyn an EMAIL at with the Super Swimmer’s name and a quick reason why you’re nominating them!

LAST BIG FISH / LITTLE FISH CHALLENGE

It’s hard to believe, but this is our final Big Fish/Little Fish challenge of the summer! What an incredible joy it’s been to watch this thoughtful, kind, and encouraging group of swimmers support one another all season long. As the swim season wraps up, let’s keep the spirit alive—encourage your swimmers to continue saying hello and cheering each other on, whether it’s at the pool or around school. These friendships are something truly special!

For our last challenge: Find your Big Fish or Little Fish at prelims, finals, on the block, or while they’re waiting for their race to start—or even around the neighborhood—and give them a pep talk! Remind them how strong, capable, and valued they are. Let’s finish the season with encouragement and Sailfish spirit!
